Linda Kloss Honorary Endowed Scholarship

The Linda Kloss Honorary Endowed Scholarship

honoring

Linda L. Kloss, RHIA, CAE, FAHIMA

This endowed scholarship will recognize Linda’s leadership of AHIMA over the past fifteen years, during  which time the organization’s membership, revenues and national influence have all experienced substantial growth. We are inviting you to join us in honoring Linda’s dedicated service to AHIMA and the Foundation. Linda’s sterling career extends well beyond her role as CEO of AHIMA. Before joining the AHIMA staff, Linda served as a senior manager for Massachusetts-based MediQual Systems, Inc. and for Chicago-based InterQual, Inc.  Linda served on the AHIMA Board of Directors from 1980 to 1986 and was president in 1985.

Linda has often expressed her wish for enhancing the endowment support of the Foundation—truly building the legacy to sustain the future of the health information management profession that she holds so dear. Throughout her career, Linda has demonstrated the leadership and vision that have helped shape the HIM profession itself.

Our goal is to raise $25,000 to establish the endowed scholarship in Linda’s honor. We do realize that you have supported the Foundation through significant contributions in the past. And we greatly appreciate your generosity in these particularly challenging economic times. You may recall that each year the Foundation receives more scholarship applications than it can support. By enhancing the scholarship program—especially through endowments, the Foundation will be in a stronger position to award more scholarships to worthy students at all degree levels: Associate, Bachelor’s, and Master’s programs.

We have attached a special donation form with this e-mail, to be returned to Susan Jordan at the AHIMA Foundation. Our plan is to announce the endowed scholarship in a special presentation to Linda during the General Session on Wednesday, October 8 at the AHIMA Convention in Grapevine, Texas. We hope you will be there to join us in honoring Linda in person. If you have any questions, please contact Susan Jordan at 312-233-1168 or susan.jordan@ahimafoundation.org
